The first trailer has arrived for Rob Reiner’s political drama “Shock and Awe” starring Woody Harrelson and James Marsden. Set in 2002, the story begins just after Dick Cheney said “Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction”.
The pair play Jonathan Landay and Warren Strobel, two staffers at U.S. media company Knight Ridder, who begin working on a theory that the Bush administration had already decided to go to war and were now focused on how to justify it. A source soon tells them it’s not a theory.
Reiner also stars as the publication’s Washington bureau chief, Tommy Lee Jones as the company’s military affairs consultant, and the likes of Milla Jovovich, Jessica Biel, Luke Tennie, and Richard Schiff in supporting roles. The film will get an exclusive run on DirecTV starting June 14th before hitting cinemas on July 11th.
