The fourth and apparently final entry in Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables” series is on its way to cinemas in 2018 with pre-production aiming to get underway shortly.
Stallone took to his Facebook page the other day to tease the new film, offering an update which indicates it will likely be his next project and will offer something different to the previous entries:
“Working out for the next Expendables, that’s going to be great! Fingers crossed. We’re going to do our best, but I think we have some really great attitude going. We have good ideas. I think everyone is expecting something different and we’re going to give it to them.”
Seconds later in the same interview piece he mentions his action classic “Cliffhanger” and does so with a knowing wink. Could this mean a re-teaming with one of that film’s stars like John Lithgow or Michael Rooker, or potentially director Renny Harlin who is currently in the midst of shooting “Legend of the Ancient Sword” for Alibaba Pictures?
