Wick Ready To Kill Avengers At Box Office

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum
Lionsgate Home Entertainment has officially set an August 23rd Digital HD and a September 10th disc release date for Chad Stahelski’s “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum”. The film will hit 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD and will come jam-packed with never-before-seen special features, including ten in-depth featurettes. [Source: Lionsgate]

Body Brokers
Melissa Leo, Michael K. Williams, Jack Kilmer, Frank Grillo and Alice Englert will lead the independent crime thriller “Body Brokers” which John Swab is directing from his own script.

The story follows a multibillion-dollar drug and alcohol treatment scheme involving former drug addicts and dealers who become millionaires as fly-by-night ‘body brokers’. Those brokers then recruit other addicts to seek treatment, before selling them off to facilities paying the highest price. [Source: Variety]

Action Scene
Kevin Hart will star in the upcoming Quibi short-form original series “Action Scene” which will be produced by Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network. Hart and Jeff Clanagan will executive produce.

The comedian plays a fictionalized version of himself. Having just been rejected from landing the action movie role of a lifetime, a string of untold events leads him to have to fight his way through a series of over-the-top action sequences with the help of Hollywood’s biggest action movie heroes. FX Networks has given a pilot green light to the half-hour anthology pilot “Platform” which is being written, directed and executive produced by B.J. Novak. Lucas Hedges, Jon Bernthal, Kaitlyn Dever, Boyd Holbrook, O’Shea Jackson Jr., George Wallace and Ed Asner also star in the pilot.

Shooting begins today on the series which uses the boldest issues of our times as a jumping-off point to tell singular, character-driven stories about the world we live in today. The plan is to film two episodes, one more dramatic and the other more comedic. [Source: Deadline]
