Kevin Hart’s wife, Eniko Hart, tells TMZ the comedian is “going to be just fine” with the actor expected to remain in the hospital for the next few days while he recovers.
The “Jumanji” and “Ride Along” star was involved in a horrific car crash over the weekend and suffered a serious back injury that required surgery.
Hart’s vintage Plymouth Barracuda veered off a Mulholland Highway canyon and into a deep gully, the roof of the car completely crushed by the impact.
Hart was able to walk away from the crash and went to his nearby home “to get medical attention”. He eventually checked into an L.A.-area hospital, where he underwent an evaluation and eventually surgery for “a major back injury” according to TMZ who first reported the accident.
Hart is currently filming “Fatherhood” which is set for a 2020 release. It’s still not clear how the accident and recovery will impact filming. Hart will be seen in “Jumanji: The Next Level” opening on December 13th.
