Syfy has given the green light to a second season of its comic adaptation “Happy!” starring Christopher Meloni and the voice of Patton Oswalt.
Meoni plays an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man whose life is changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse named Happy only he can see.
The series scored the network’s best series premiere numbers since January 2016 across all key demos with the finale set to air this Wednesday.
Also today, Netflix’s “Fuller House” has been renewed for a fourth season by streaming giant Netflix. The series has been one of the biggest success stories on Netflix despite being reviled by critics.
A spin-off to the original “Full House,” Candace Cameron Bure plays D.J. Tanner-Fuller who is now a recently widowed veterinarian who finds herself living in her childhood home with younger sister and aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and DJ’s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber).
After two seasons of thirteen episodes, the third season was split into two batches of nine released three months apart late last year, no word on what format the new season will take.
