David Harbour Eyed For Cable In “Deadpool 2”

Chief Jim Hopper himself, “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour, is being eyed to play the iconic mutant Cable in the “Deadpool” sequel at 20th Century Fox reports The Wrap.

In the comics, he is the alter ego of Nathan Summers (son of Cyclops) who has traveled to the present day from a possible future timeline. The scarred, ravaged character has a bionic left arm, a cybernetic eye, and embedded technology that allows him to hack into computer systems.

The character has long been associated with mutant team X-Force which Fox is actively developing into a feature of its own.

The paper’s source claims Fox screen-tested the actor to play the time traveling mutant in the upcoming sequel. Neither Fox or Harbour’s reps responded to comment.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are penning the sequel which doesn’t yet have a release date. “John Wick” co-director David Leitch will helm.
