Creepshow Set To Become A Series

“The Walking Dead” executive producer and legendary make-up artist Greg Nicotero is turning the 1982 anthology film “Creepshow” into a series for horror streaming service Shudder.

George A. Romero and Stephen King teamed for the dark comedy horror anthology film which starred the likes of Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Fritz Weaver, Leslie Nielsen and Ted Danson. The film consisted of five short films, two of which were adapted from King’s short stories.

A sequel followed, and though a third was made it was in name only with Romero and King instead jumping over to a similar “Tales from the Darkside” film.

Nicotero will direct, executive produce and supervise creative elements on the new series which will be an anthology of original stories, each made by a different director. The series is scheduled to kickoff on Shudder in 2019.
