“Creed 2” Officially Begins Filming

There has been some confusion as to whether production on the “Rocky” spin-off sequel “Creed 2” was underway or not.

Now Sylvester Stallone himself has confirmed that filming has just begun via a behind-the-scenes video he shared over social media earlier today. The video doesn’t show anything beyond Stallone talking the franchise’s legacy from the set and confirmation of the start of shooting.

Steven Caple Jr. takes over for Ryan Coogler at the helm of the film which was written by Stallone and “Luke Cage” showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker.

Michael B. Jordan returns as Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed, to continue his training under Rocky Balboa to prepare for a brutal fight against Vitor Drago (Florian Munteanu), the son of Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) who killed Apollo in the ring.

Tessa Thompson also returns in the film opening November 21st.
