“Winter Soldier,” “Carnival Row” Film Again Soon?

Film and TV production in the Czech Republic is to resume immediately following the government lifting restrictions on public gatherings due to the fight against COVID-19.

International productions that will be able to resume their shoots include Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” the Netflix film “Transatlantic 473,” and both the second season of “Carnival Row” and the first of fantasy “Wheel of Time” which are at Amazon.

The Czech Republic was the first country in Europe to develop self-regulatory guidelines as protection against the spread of COVID-19 during filming. The country reopened its borders to European citizens on April 27th.

Foreign actors and crew members must undergo a COVID-19 test at the time they leave their home countries, and then undergo a second test within 72 hours of arrival in the Czech Republic. They will then remain quarantined until they receive a negative result.

Actors will continue to be tested every two weeks and strict sanitation standards will be maintained on location and in studios.
