“Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris is set to write and produce a remake of the 1992 Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson comedy “White Men Can’t Jump” for 20th Century Fox.
Snipes and Harrelson starred as a pair of street basketball hustlers with Rosie Perez as the latter’s girlfriend. Ron Shelton helmed the sleeper hit which grossed over $90 million worldwide.
Basketballer Blake Griffin and footballer Ryan Kalil will produce alongside Barris and Noah Weinstein. Barris remains at work on a remake of “Shaft”.
