Paramount+ has renewed its Sylvester Stallone-led hit series “Tulsa King” for a fifth season. With the renewal, however, comes a big change – production is moving to New York City.
Previous seasons were shot in Atlanta and Oklahoma. The shift will see Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi (Stallone) going back to his roots.
It’s also the first Taylor Sheridan-produced series to film a season primarily in New York or Los Angeles (“The Madison” had a few scenes set in Manhattan).
In addition, several new cast members are joining in series regular roles, including Erik Palladino (“I Play Rocky”), Glenn Fleshler (“Billions”), Anthony Skordi (“The Last Frontier”) and Nickola Shreli (“Power Book IV: Force).
Stallone’s daughter, Scarlet Rose Stallone, is also being upped to a series regular. Executive producer Terence Winter will continue to serve as head writer on the series, which has changed showrunners several times.
The show’s fourth season is set to premiere next week.
