Netflix has premiered the full trailer from “What / If,” the new ten-episode limited thriller series which sees Renee Zellweger coming to television.
The neo-noir social thriller explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things. The season focuses on a mysterious venture capitalist (Zellweger) and her lucrative but dubious offer to a cash-strapped pair of San Francisco newlyweds (Jane Levy, Blake Jenner).
Phillip Noyce helms the pilot for the self-contained series created by Mike Kelley – both worked together on ABC’s “Revenge” and Kelly says the project aims to recreate the tone of classic 1980s/1990s Adrian Lyne and Joe Eszerthas films of sex, murder, and deceit.
The series premieres Friday, May 24th.
