STX Films has released the trailer for “Countdown,” a horror feature about a phone app that kills.
The story follows a young nurse (Elizabeth Lail) who downloads an app that claims to predict exactly when a person is going to die, and it tells her she only has three days to live.
With time ticking away and death closing in, she must find a way to save her life before time runs out. Justin Dec (“Rolling”) helms the film which sounds like a natural modern-day progression from “The Ring”.
Elizabeth Lail, Jordan Calloway, Talitha Bateman, Tichina Arnold, P.J. Byrne and Peter Facinelli co-star in the film which hits cinemas October 25th.
