A24 has premiered the trailer for “Beginners” and “20th Century Women” writer-director Mike Mills’ new film “C’mon C’mon” starring Joaquin Phoenix.
Here he stars as a middle-aged radio journalist who forges a tenuous but transformational relationship with his young nephew (Woody Norman) when they are unexpectedly thrown together on a road trip to interview kids, asking them about the future.
Gaby Hoffman, Molly Webster, Jaboukie Young-White, and Scoot McNairy co-star in what marks Phoenix’s first film since winning Best Actor for “Joker”. A24 has yet to set a release date for the film which is shot in black-and-white and recently screened at Telluride.
