“The Fantastic Four” Deleted Scenes Detailed

Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” comes in under two hours, making it one of the shorter entries in the MCU.

As expected, multiple scenes were shot that didn’t make the final cut, with some of those expected to arrive with the film’s digital and disc releases.

Now, leaker @Cryptic4KQual has crafted a social media thred breakdown of many moments from the film that didn’t make the movie’s theatrical cut. The information was reportedly garnered from test screenings and the like.

Originally, the movie didn’t open with Reed (Pedro Pascal) and Sue (Vanessa Kirby) finding out about her pregnancy, but was instead the ABC special celebrating ‘Fantastic Four Day’.

There was a whole sequence with Red Ghost (John Malkovich) and his apes as he tries to steal the F4’s ship. Later in the film, Reed visits Red Ghost in prison and offers him a work release program so he and his apes can build one of the teleportation bridges.

One scene also had Sue sneaking up on Mole Man (Paul Walter Hauser) to try and stop a revolt in Subterranea.

A lot of dialogue scenes taking place in the Baxter Building were cut, especially in the lab/main control room.

One scene had Ben on a night stroll, after the team vow not to give up Franklin, and he finds Herbie’s mangled body in a back alley. He brings Herbie home and everyone is in shock.

Finally, Galactus was supposed to briefly converse with the F4 in New York. The finished film is still in cinemas and has yet to announce its digital or disc release.
