The next live-action “Star Wars” TV series has set an airdate with “The Book of Boba Fett” set to debut on the Disney+ service on December 29th.
The official Star Wars Twitter account announced the news this morning along with releasing the first poster art for the show which is included below.
Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen reprise their roles of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand respectively from the second season of “The Mandalorian” and other media from the franchise in the series which will pick up where Mando’s second season finale credits stinger left off.
In the series the pair navigate the Galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni executive produce. The release news and poster likely comes ahead of the series’ first trailer which should drop sometime soon.
