Teaser: “Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula”

Following the first photos two weeks ago, the first U.S. trailer is out for “Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula,” a $16 million follow-up to 2016’s international hit zombie action feature “Train to Busan”.

Korean director Yeon Sang-ho returns for the film which is set in the same universe, but it doesn’t continue the story and has different characters and so is not really a ‘sequel’ per se.

The story takes place four years after ‘Train’. Government authority has been decimated and there is nothing left except the geographical traits of the location.

Gang Dong-won stars as a former soldier who previously managed to escape the now zombie-infested wasteland of the Korean peninsula. Now he’s been sent back with a crew on a mission to retrieve something and discovers there are more non-infected survivors still alive.

Lee Jung-hyun, Lee Re, Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Min-jae, Koo Kyo-hwan and Lee Ye Won co-star. No release date has yet been set.
