Hulu has premiered the first trailer for its true story limited series “Welcome to Chippendales”.
Hailing from “Pam & Tommy” creator Robert Siegel, the darkly comedic and crime-ridden story follows Somen ‘Steve’ Banerjee (Nanjiani), the Indian-American entrepreneur who started the unique male revue label in the late 1970s/early 1980s which became a cultural phenomenon – but was soon rocked by scandal and murder.
Murray Bartlett, Dan Stevens, Annaleigh Ashford, Quentin Plair, Andrew Rannells and Nicola Peltz co-star. Siegel, Nanjiani, Dylan Sellers, Jenni Konner, Matt Shakman, Emily V. Gordon, Nora Silver and Rajiv Joseph and will executive produce.
Robert Siegel will serve as showrunner alongside Jenni Konner, while Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”) directs. The series premieres on November 11th with two episodes.
