Much like the second season, the upcoming fourth season of Netflix’s major breakout hit “Stranger Things” is going to run one episode longer than usual.
TVLine reports the new season will consist of nine episodes, up from the right of the first and third season. That’s not necessarily good news – the second season’s additional episode was a relatively standalone episode involving Eleven becoming a gang member and is often considered the show’s worst episode to date.
The series was renewed for its fourth season in September and will film throughout the first two-thirds of this year ahead of a likely early-mid 2021 airing. It’s also expected to be the first season with a major shift of location to areas outside Hawkins.
