Sony Pictures has reportedly locked down a Tuesday, October 6th digital release date for its critical and box-office smash hit “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”.
The fourth Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man” film will make the jump approximately 67 days after it was released theatrically and went on to shatter almost every box-office record there is.
The PVOD release will arrive around six weeks before the film hits 4K UHD disc and regular VOD on November 17th. An SVOD release isn’t expected until sometime in 2027.
The film has made approximately $2.495 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing domestic and third-highest-grossing international release to date.
After dominating the charts and holding the top spot for six weekends, the film’s rosy run finally began cooling after Labor Day. This current weekend, its ninth in release, has the film on track for seventh place with $4.1 million and a per screen average of just $1,701 – meaning its time is pretty much done.
Nonetheless, cinemas have agreed they will keep playing the film on some screens at least right up until its mid-November disc release.
