“Seven Kingdoms” This Season On Trailer

HBO

Following the series premiere on Sunday night, HBO has released a ‘This Season On’ trailer for its “Game of Thrones” spin-off series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”.

The series is adapted from George R.R. Martin’s novella “The Hedge Knight”. A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naĂŻve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey), and his diminutive squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell).

Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

The cast includes Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Danny Webb as Ser Arlan of Pennytree, Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen, Shaun Thomas as Raymun Fossoway, Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Edward Ashley as Ser Steffon Fossoway, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Henry Ashton as Daeron Targaryen, Youssef Kerkour as Steely Pate, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as Plummer, and Daniel Monks as Ser Manfred Dondarrion.

The series pulled in a 75 on Metacritic, putting below the 80/100 of the first season of “Game of Thrones” but above the 69/100 of “House of the Dragon”.

George R. R. Martin and Ira Parker co-created and executive-produced the series, on which Parker serves as showrunner. New episodes will roll out through February 22nd.
