Zoe Saldana is in negotiations to play the female lead in James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” at Marvel Studios.
Saldana would play Gamora, a green-skinned humanoid and skilled assassin who is the last of a species that was exterminated by the Badoon.
If she joins, Saldana would be the third cast member onboard the project which also includes Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, and Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer.
Still to be cast is the giant tree-man Groot, and the genetically engineered raccoon and explosives expert Rocket Raccoon. Shooting kicks off in June.
