UFC champion and Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey is set to voice Sonya Blade in the upcoming “Mortal Kombat 11” game from NetherRealm Studios. Rousey has been a long fan of the game and has previously named Kitana as her favorite character.
The reveal was one of several that came from a livestream preview of the game with numerous clips and gameplay trailers from the title going online. The story picks up after the events of “Mortal Kombat X” and introduces a time-travelling plotline where older characters will be seen meeting their younger selves.
Baraka, Raiden, Skarlet, Scorpion, Sonya Blade, and Sub-Zero were all announced along with new characters Geras and the female villain Kronika. “Mortal Kombat 11” releases on April 23rd to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
