RJ Cutler (“The September Issue”) has optioned the film rights to Rudolph Delson’s 2007 romantic comedy novel “Maynard & Jennica” says Deadline.
The story follows a Gotham-based filmmaker who meets and has a relationship with a California transplant with stars in her eyes. The narrative is told by 35 different people from friends to a pet and ghosts.
Cutler will adapt to direct as a feature. Cutler is currently executive producing HBO’s “Spring/Fall” with Tea Leoni, Hope Davis, Sigourney Weaver and Stockard Channing.
