Ray Liotta is set to join Derek Cianfrance’s multi-generational crime drama “The Place Beyond The Pines” at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment says Variety.
The story tracks the tragic consequences of a showdown between a motorcycle rider-turned-bank robber (Ryan Gosling) who is taking cash to support his newborn son.
Bradley Cooper plays a determined young cop out to stop him while Liotta will play a fierce, crooked officer on the force.
Eva Mendes and Greta Gerwig also star. Cianfrance will direct from a script he co-wrote with Ben Coccio. Shooting kicks off next month.
