Dirty Angels
Ruby Rose is set to star opposite Eva Green in Martin Campbell’s action-thriller “Dirty Angels” for Millennium Media. Filming begins in December in Morocco and Greece.
Set against the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, Alissa Silverman’s script follows a group of female soldiers providing medical relief who are sent back in to rescue a group of kidnapped teenagers caught between ISIS and the Taliban. [Source: THR]
Strange World
Walt Disney Animation Studios has released a featurette for its animated fantasy comedy “Strange World” which hits theaters on November 23rd. It features the voices of Jake Gyllenhaal, Jaboukie Young-White, Dennis Quaid, Gabrielle Union, and Lucy Liu.
The film journeys deep into a world where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog, and a slew of ravenous creatures.
X Crucior
Focus Features has announced the launch of development on “X Crucior,” an original musical epic to be written and executive produced by Ron and Russell Mael – the brothers better known as avant-garde music duo Sparks.
Plot specifics are under wraps. Focus distributed last year’s Edgar Wright doco about the pair, whilst Sparks recently completed its 27th studio album slated for release in 2023. [Source: Deadline]
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
Terravision Games has released a new clip for the upcoming “Killer Klowns From Outer Space” video game, the featurette comparing level design from the game to scenes from the cult 1988 classic film and it seems they are trying hard to be authentic to the source material. The asymmetrical multiplayer game will release in early 2023.
The Noel Diary
Netflix has released the trailer for the romantic comedy “The Noel Diary” starring Justin Hartley and Barrett Doss. The Charles Shyer-directed film also stars Essence Atkins, Bonnie Bedelia, and James Remar and will be available to stream from November 24th.
Hartley stars as best-selling author who returns home for Christmas following the death of his estranged mother. While staying at his childhood home, he meets a young woman searching for her biological mother who previously worked for his parents.
