Following the first look photo on Friday of Emily Blunt filming scenes as Mary Poppins in “Mary Poppins Returns,” more photos are out of the actress in London shooting the Disney feature.
Along with those comes a first photo of “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in the film. Miranda will be playing Jack, a lamp-lighter that gets swept up in the adventure with Poppins and will effectively serve as this film’s equivalent of the Dick Van Dyke role from the original.
Set twenty years after the original, the new film follows the now grown up versions of the kids from the first film. Ben Whishaw, Meryl Streep, Emily Mortimer, Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury and Dick Van Dyke star.
Rob Marshall helms the film which will open Christmas Day 2018.
