Original “Alien” Script Becomes A Graphic Novel

Original Alien Script Becomes A Graphic Novel

Dark Horse Comics will reportedly launch “Alien: The Original Screenplay,” a new graphic novel based on the original first script for Ridley Scott’s 1979 space horror classic, on April 22nd.

O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett penned the original script which was then heavily rewritten in an uncredited pass by producer Walter Hill who made radical changes, including making Ripley a woman.

The new comic series hails from Cristiano Seixas and Guilherme Balbi and will feature a whole different take on “Alien” with new characters and ship designs.

The comic follows in the wake of the recently released comic book series based on William Gibson’s unused script for “Alien 3”.
