Oscar-winner Olivia Colman is set to star in the Alexander Payne-directed four-part blackly comic true-crime drama series “Landscapers” for HBO and Sky.
Inspired by real events, the story follows killers Susan and Christopher Edwards – a mild-mannered couple from Mansfield in the UK who killed Susan’s parents, buried them in their back garden and then cleared out said parents’ bank accounts. The crime remained undiscovered for over a decade.
The series will shift perspectives from Susan and Chris, to the police officers and lawyers involved in the investigation and how the pair cast themselves as Hollywood heroes in their own story.
Sister (“Chernobyl”) and South of the River Pictures are producing and Colman’s husband Ed Sinclair is penning the work which begins filming early 2020.
