Obama Announces His Top 2018 Films

Despite being several years removed from office, former U.S. President Barack Obama has continued a traditional end-of-year list of his favorite films, music, and books for the year.

The choices include a mix of studio tentpoles, critical darlings, foreign films and more. Almost all of those picked scored great acclaim, with the list as follows (in alphabetical order):

Annihilation, Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Blindspotting, Burning, Eighth Grade, If Beale Street Could Talk, Leave No Trace, Minding the Gap, The Rider, Roma, Shoplifters, Support the Girls, Won’t You Be My Neighbor

Obama skipped doing a similar film list last year, only discussing his top music and books picks for that year. Current U.S. President Donald Trump has yet to release a best films list.
