A new report has indicated that Tony nominee Charlayne Woodard is playing the role of Nick Fury’s wife Priscilla, in the upcoming Marvel Studios series “Secret Invasion”.
Scooper Daniel Richtman revealed the news through his Patreon (via Twitter), saying Priscilla will also be an agent of S.W.O.R.D. in the new series – how extensive her involvement in the series remains unclear.
This will mark just the latest time Woodard and Samuel L. Jackson would be playing another key person in the other’s lives. In both 2000’s “Unbreakable” and 2019’s “Glass,” Woodard portrayed the mother of Jackson’s Elijah Price.
The series is based on the crossover comic event series showcasing a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls having infiltrated Earth for years. Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as Nick Fury along with returnees Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. Also onboard are Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald and Carmen Ejogo.
Marvel’s “Secret Invasion” series is slated to premiere early next year.
