A24 has released both an ‘official first look’ clip and an ‘official promo’ clip for its upcoming dark period drama “The Death of Robin Hood”.
The story is described as a grounded, visceral and darker reimagining of the classic Robin Hood tale and will see an older version of the title character grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder.
Now he’s a battle-worn loner who finds himself gravely injured and in the hands of a mysterious woman who offers him a chance at salvation. Hugh Jackman, Jodie Comer, Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett and Noah Jupe star.
Filmmaker Michael Sarnoski (“Pig,” “A Quiet Place: Day One”) penned and directs the film, which Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett and Alexander Black will produce.
Jackman and Sarnoski are front and center in these clips, which tackle the story’s visuals and overall aims for the project.
A24 will release “The Death of Robin Hood” in cinemas on June 19th.
