Netflix and Riot Games have confirmed that a second season of the animated series “Arcane” has been greenlit.
Set in the universe of the “League of Legends” game franchise, the series serves as a prequel to the game and retells the origin stories of several characters from the utopian city of Piltover and the squalid underbelly of Zaun.
The announcement, made at the end of a fan event on Saturday evening, follows in the wake of a very positive reception to the first season which was released in three weekly batches of three episodes each with the finale released yesterday.
Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell and Katie Leung have all been confirmed to reprise their respective voice roles of Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn Kiramman respectively. No release date has yet been set.
