“Man of Tomorrow” Villain Teased In Casting

Warner Bros. Games

James Gunn’s upcoming “Superman” follow-up “Man of Tomorrow” shoots next year, and that means locking in some of the key roles in the feature should be taking place very soon.

One key part will be that of the film’s antagonist. The film is expected to see David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult reprise their respective roles as Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, with the former enemies having to team up to stop a greater threat.

Speculation has been high that the said threat will be Brainiac. Now, a new casting update for the movie shared by Nexus Point News seems to corroborate that theory.

They say, according to their sources, “makeup and prosthetics will be used for the film’s antagonist”. They add that “In addition, actors with a strong build and stature are being looked at for the role”.

Brainiac, known for his green skin and technological enhancements, fits that description, though others have suggested Mongul as another possibility.

Filming on “Man of Tomorrow” begins in April and will be released in U.S. theaters on July 9th 2027.
