Back in January came an Emmy-nominated advertising campaign for Apple TV+ which had “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm making fun of the fact he doesn’t star in any Apple Originals.
In one scene in fact he makes fun of Apple’s “The Morning Show” series saying “Jen and Reese… no Jon. Feels like a missed opportunity”.
That’s all changed today as Hamm has joined the cast of the third season of “The Morning Show”. The actor will play Paul Marks, a corporate titan who sets his sights on buying UBA which pulls Cory (Billy Crudup), Alex (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) into his orbit.
Production on the new run begins this month with new showrunner Charlotte Stoudt (“Homeland”) taking over. Hamm will also be appearing in the upcoming fifth season of FX’s “Fargo”.
