James Bobin In Talks For Clue Remake

James Bobin (“The Muppets,” “Dora and the Lost City of Gold”) is in talks to direct the new live-action adaptation of the classic Hasbro board game “Clue” at 20th Century Studios, Maximum Effort and Allspark Pictures.

Ryan Reynolds remains attached to produce the film and potentially star in the movie which previously had Jason Bateman in talks to both direct and take on a supporting role. That is no longer the case.

“Deadpool” scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick penned the script for the new “Clue” which will follow in the wake of the 1985 period comedy that has been a cult hit for decades.
