Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Birds of Prey” underwhelmed at the box office last weekend despite solid critical and audience reviews, and now it looks like a bandaid has been applied to try and help the problem.
It seems the film’s title has been changed from the ridiculously long “Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” to the shorter “Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey” with the new title spotted on Regal Cinemas and AMC Theatres’ websites. ScreenRant later confirmed it was at the request of the studio.
The title has yet to be changed on online ticketing outlets like Fandango and Atom Tickets, but it will likely come this week along with some rebranded marketing materials with the new title as well. It’s unlikely the title within the movie will be changed though.
