“Jack Ryan” Was Amazon’s Biggest Launch Yet

Amazon’s original series “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” has succeeded in the way the streaming service hoped it would – it got eyeballs. The action-thriller series, starring John Krasinski, attracted nearly 40% of Prime Video users in the first month after its premiere.

7Park Data revealed the news to The Wrap, saying 37% of Amazon Video viewers watched the series last month – WAY above the average audience share of 9% most shows get in their first month. The next highest launch for a series were “The Man in the High Castle” (23%), “Hand of God” (22%), “Sneaky Pete” (19%) and “The Grand Tour” (18%) and “Mozart in the Jungle” (14%).

This is the first time 7Park has tracked Amazon data, the company has only previously studied the viewership habits of Hulu and Netflix.
