Douglas McGrath (“Infamous”) is writing and will direct the true crime story “A Violent Act” by Alec Wilkinson as his next project reports UK Teletext.
The project follows a man who murdered his probation officer before heading on a crime spree of carjackings, robberies and murders. Eventually the man was caught by an Indian tracker.
McGrath says that it’s taken him a while to write the story because he “wants to do it just right”. The book scored acclaim due its presenting of the crimes in a very precise and factual style, allowing the reader to come up with many of his own judgements.
