“House of the Dragon” S2 Nearly Wrapped

HBO

Actor Steve Toussaint, who plays Corlys Velaryon in the HBO “Game of Thrones” spin-off series “House of the Dragon,” indicates his filming on the show’s second season is done.

In a posting on Instagram, the actor said: “‘And that’s a wrap on Steve!’ What a blast to work with such great people! Now it’s in the hands of editors, SFX folk, and whoever else. Hope you like it when you eventually get to see it!”.

The posting only indicates he’s done his scenes, not that the season overall has finished shooting. However, multiple reports last week indicated filming was going to wrap this week or in early October.

The series was one of the few shows that were able to continue in production throughout both strikes as the scripts were all done before the writer’s strike began, while much of its cast were part of Actors Equity and not SAG-AFTRA.

Shooting on the new season took place in England, Spain, & Wales and clocks in at a shorter eight-episode run with no time jumps this time. A third season has reportedly already been mapped.

The second season of “House of the Dragon” is expected to debut on HBO in Summer 2024.
