“He-Man” Film Story Tease, New Animated Project?

Netflix

A new synopsis for Amazon MGM’s live-action “Masters of the Universe” film has emerged online from some markets in Asia that suggests a twist to the film’s setup.

Back when the casting for the film was announced, a brief synopsis was released which indicated a 10-year-old Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword – the only link to his home on Eternia.

Tracking it down almost two decades later, he is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor (Jared Leto).

That synopsis drew many questions, not to mention comparisons to Superman, with many wondering why young Prince Adam would be in a crashing spaceship. The new synopsis, released by He-Mania.com, has now gone into a little more detail – turns out it’s all an accident. It reads:

“As a child, Prince Adam is left stranded in space in an accident; he loses his powerful sword and years later, upon returning to Eternia, he discovers that becoming He-Man depends not only on physical strength, but also on accepting fate, believing in friendship, and courage in the face of darkness.”

The synopsis comes as the outlet also indicates that Tim Sheridan, a writer / consulting producer of Kevin Smith’s Netflix animated series “Masters of the Universe: Revelation” and its follow-up ‘Revolution’, is working on a new He-Man project right now – but specifics are under wraps.

The live-action “Masters of the Universe” is slated to hit cinemas in July next year.
