HBO Max’s previously ordered new “Degrassi” series is no longer moving forward.
The streaming giant ordered ten episodes of a revival of the Canadian high school drama franchise back in January, with franchise owner WildBrain producing.
The project was developed by showrunners and executive producers Lara Azzopardi and Julia Cohen and would have been the sixth TV show in the franchise to date.
It marks just the latest project to get scrapped at HBO Max since the Warner Bros. Discovery closed in April, with an animated “Charlotte’s Web” miniseries co-produced by Sesame Workshop also being cancelled.
