The Golden Globes will return to NBC on Tuesday, January 10th after a one-year hiatus. The event, the 80th anniversary of the awards, will also stream on the Peacock service.
The hiatus came in the wake of a widespread boycott of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association over its lack of diversity and sputtering attempts at internal reform.
The HFPA has in the past said it aimed to root out corruption, increase diversity and grow the number of voters. How successful those reforms hae been, and how many Hollywood figures will actually attend are obvious questions of concern.
The announcement was made today by the network, Dick Clark Production and the now for-profit Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hilton.
