Warner Bros. Pictures remains committed to its DC strategy, and it seems committed to the big-budget “The Flash” film getting to cinemas next summer.
A report at The Wrap says the film’s troubled star Ezra Miller recently conducted a day’s worth of reshoots on the studio’s lot – indicating they are still pouring money into the production.
The report comes after Miller met with the studio back in August, and more recently was the subject of a lengthy profile piece in Vanity Fair that raised eyebrows.
On the more speculative front, a recent episode of the Marvelvision podcast claims Henry Cavill is back in the role of Superman for not just a “Black Adam” cameo, but a new “Superman” film and suggests Dwayne Johnson as being heavily responsible for that:
“The reason why Henry Cavill has returned as Superman in Black Adam is because [Johnson] demanded it. Like, he went hard, full-court press on Warner Bros. and made them go to Henry Cavill, and they had to sign a new deal with Henry Cavill, including saying they were gonna develop a new Superman movie. And it was all because The Rock insisted.”
Will Cavill appear in “Black Adam”? We’ll find out when it arrives in theaters on October 21st.
