First Trailer: “In the Blink of an Eye”

Searchlight Pictures has premiered the first trailer for “In the Blink of an Eye,” the history-spanning sci-fi feature from famed Pixar director Andrew Stanton (“Wall-E,” “Finding Nemo”).

The project marks Stanton’s first live-action feature since “John Carter” in 2012. The new film presents three storylines set thousands of years apart. These storylines “intersect and reflect on hope, connection, and the circle of life”.

The film’s cast includes Rashida Jones, Kate McKinnon, Daveed Diggs, Jorge Vargas, and Tanaya Beatty. Jared Ian Goldman and Colby Day serve as producers.

Thomas Newman will handle the score for the film, which clocks in at just 94 minutes. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival two weeks ago and won the Alfred P. Sloan Prize.

Reviews out of Sundance painted a disappointing picture; the film only landed a 37/100 on Metacritic and fared worse on Rotten Tomatoes.

“In the Blink of an Eye” is scheduled for a streaming release on Hulu on February 27th.
