In the wake of reports a few hours ago that the show is in trouble, DC Universe is trying to snuff out concern by revealing the official first look at the live-action “Swamp Thing” series.
A news outlet in North Carolina, where the show is being filmed, broke the story that the series was shutting down production earlier than expected and reworking what’s left so what was to be a thirteen episode first season of an ongoing series is being turned into a ten-episode limited series.
Reports in the wake of that cropped up indicating there was concern over the future of the DC Universe streaming service, that latter claim has since been vigorously denied by the streamer who says the service is not in any danger and is going swimmingly.
The “Swamp Thing” series is executive produced by James Wan, Len Wiseman, Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman and Michael Clear with Wiseman helming the pilot. Andy Bean, Crystal Reed, Will Patton, Jennifer Beals, Virginia Madsen, Maria Sten, Jeryl Prescott, Henderson Wade, Kevin Durand, Leonardo Nam and Derek Mears star.
“Swamp Thing” will debut on DC Universe on May 31st.
