Disney has reportedly set a deal with musician Bruno Mars which will see the Mouse House develop a music-themed theatrical feature which Mars will star in and produce.
The storyline is under wraps but it’s expected to consist of mostly original music that Mars will create and perform. Mars, who previously appeared in “Honeymoon in Vegas” and lent his voice to “Rio 2,” has won eleven Grammy Awards and has sold over 200 million singles worldwide.
The news follows in the wake of a major $75 million Disney deal with Lin-Manuel Miranda for the “Hamilton” musical film.
