Discovery+ has released the trailer for its upcoming docuseries “House of Hammer,” which uses the allegations surrounding actor Armie Hammer as the starting point for a larger exploration of his family.
Hammer was a well-regarded Hollywood actor coming off praise for his performances in films like Oscar Best Picture nominee “Call Me by Your Name” before last year’s disturbing accusations from multiple women saw him become the target of an ongoing police investigation.
The synopsis for the docuseries says those alleged crimes are “only the tip of the iceberg” and “over the course of five generations, the men in the Hammer family have more secrets and scandals than any vault can contain… behind the money and power lies a dysfunctional dynasty with its male characters exhibiting all the devastating consequences of privilege gone wild.”
“House of Hammer” debuts on the Discovery+ service on Friday, September 2nd.
