The next film from “Obsession” filmmaker Curry Barker, “Anything But Ghosts,” has locked down a May 7th 2027 release date.
Focus Features will distribute the film, which arrives just under one year after Obsession hit cinemas and became the mini-distributor’s top-grossing movie of all time.
Barker co-wrote the script with longtime partner Cooper Tomlinson, and the pair shot the feature before “Obsession” took off.
In it, they star as wannabe ‘ghosthunters’ who find themselves in over their heads as things spiral wildly and terrifyingly out of control
Aaron Paul, Bryce Dallas Howard, Violet McGraw and Chris Reinacher also star in the movie, which was made for just $5 million.
Focus has global rights on the film and Universal Pictures International will distribute overseas. Jason Blum, Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath produce.
Barker and Tomlinson created the YouTube channel That’s a Bad Idea and became known for their sketch comedy.
