Oscar winner Kevin Costner has reportedly been pursuing an old hobby of his in the wake of recent bad press surrounding his past work – sunken treasure hunting.
Page Six reports that “Costner is on a deep-sea diving binge to discover sunken treasure and found gold coins and emeralds recently in the Caribbean.” They add that he’s now reportedly shopping a TV series around about finding sunken treasure around the world.
The actor has been in the news in the past few weeks following a feature story in THR two weeks back which claimed his career has been “marked by feuds, walkouts, lawsuits, financing fiascos” with a “long series of unfortunate incidents” stacking up.
The star allegedly got into a heated physical altercation with Wes Bentley on the set of “Yellowstone” which left co-star Kelly Reilly in tears. Sources also told the outlet that cast members got fed up with Costner’s ‘diva-like’ demeanor on the show’s set.
Costner has also allegedly been struggling to finance his four-part “Horizon” film franchise which has only released the first film so far. A second is done but not dated, while the third and fourth don’t have the financing needed.
One source tells the outlet: “He’s said to be furious over the new Hollywood Reporter story about how he’s lost the plot… He’s very angry about it.”
